John D. Rockefeller's Boyhood Home

located about four miles north of the village on Rockefeller Road

1910 (see back).

The future oil-magnate lived here from the age of 4 to 10 during the 1840's.  A kitchen fire caused the  house to burn to the ground in 1926 while it was being used as a convict road camp.
