Year: c1939 Location: 148-138 Main Northeast side of Main Street opposite Central St. L-R: Hawley Block - left side is Keady-Born Store, right is R.W. Hawley & Co. Druggists; next unknown, H.B. Close Clothing (later Burgess), First National Bank, Fred Small's Hardware. The Keady-Born store opened March 6, 1937. According to an announcement in the Moravia Republican Register the store "will bring an added line of merchandise to Moravia and vicinity, and is a pretentious addition to its business life." |
