Year: c1946 Location: 117-137 Main West side of Main Street, south of Central about 1946. From right: Kilborne Insurance (Bell Telephone upstairs), Hughe's Confectionery "Soda Fountain", A.T. Hoyt Jeweler and Optometrist (later Wade's Furniture), Austin's Meat Market, Lynch's Hardware (moved south of the bridge around 1950), Spaulding 5 & 10, Modern Market. Just beyond the Modern Market is a building located over Mill Creek, possibly vacant and soon to be demolished at the time of this picture. Everything between the bridge and the Bell Telephone building burned Dec. 30, 1966. |
