Year: c1915  Location: 141-143 Main

Central Street and Main about 1915.  Smith's Hall, on the right, (later known as the L.M. Wheat Building) burned January 24, 1940.  The brick building to the rear houses the Republican Register newspaper.  The next building beyond was a hotel in 1915.  That building, occupied by the Farmer's Mutual Insurance Company (now Kilborne's), burned on November 4, 1940.
