OBITUARY

Lydia Sayles SPRINGER died in Sempronius Mch. 6th, 1874. Mrs. Lydia SPRINGER of Berlinville, Ohio, aged 63 years.

Again we are reminded of the uncertainties of this life in the sudden death of Mrs. Lydia SPRINGER, which occured at the home of her sister, Mrs. Sally SPRINGER. Only the week before on Monday, at a moment’s notice she left her home in Ohio in company with her brother, Mr. David SAYLES, of Milan, Ohio, and hastened to the home and the bedside of her sick and languishing sister, whom she hardly expected to find alive on her arrival. She left her home in usual health and arrived at her sisters on Tuesday, hoping to remain until the former should be restored to health again, but alas, on the Sunday morning following she was seriously attacked with acute pneumonia, which continued to increase in intensity in spite of the skill of her physician, until it terminated her life on Friday. Just two weeks from the day she landed from the cars in the village, she started on her return by the same, a lifeless corpse. She was mother of Dwight SPRINGER, of Summer Hill, and cousin of L. D. SAYLES, and David H. FOSTER.

OBITUARY

Alvina SAYLES was born in Berlin, Erie County Ohio, April 1832. She was the daughter of Duty SAYLES and Betsy ALMY Sayles, who were among the early settlers of this section. She was the oldest of a family of thirteen children: -- Eight of whom, four brothers and four sisters, survive her. On June 26th, 1851, she was united in marriage to William SANDS, and went to housekeeping at Laughlins’ Corners where they resided about two years, when they moved to a farm at Abbot’s bridge, now known as Fries Landing. Here the most of her life was spent. In 1890 having required a sufficient quantity of this worlds goods to enable them to live in comfort, the remainder of their lives Mr. and Mrs. SANDS purchased a residence in Milan, Ohio, and settled here where they have since resided. Mrs. Sands was of a cheerful disposition, a kind neighbor always ready to help those in trouble, and will be sadly missed by a host of friends. She leaves a husband two sons, eight brothers and sisters and three grand-children to mourn their loss.

Edwin Knight SPRINGER, son of Job SPRINGER and Lydia Springer, married Lucinda Knapp, July 4th, 1859. One child, Charles B. SPRINGER born at Milan, Ohio, Aug. 31st, 1860, married Nannie Johnson at West Branch, Mich., Aug. 2nd, 1883. Three children were born to this union: -- Lester Ed. SPRINGER, born Mch. 15th, 1886, Earl V. SPRINGER, born Mch. 23rd, 1890, Carl Clarence SPRINGER, born April 23rd, 1892.

Grace A. SPRINGER, daughter of Dwight SPRINGER and Emeline HINMAN Springer married Edward H. SHERMAN. July 18th, 1896.

Ray M. SPRINGER, son of Dwight SPRINGER and Emeline Springer, married Nellie CUFFMAN, Feb. 2nd, 1899. One child, Harold M. SPRINGER, born Jan. 18th, 1900. Ray M. SPRINGER, married for his second wife Mrs. Alice L. OILMAN. Two children were born to them: -- Albert J. SPRINGER, born Mch. 9th, 1904, Elma SPRINGER, born June, 30th, 1911.

Oliver H.P. SPRINGER, son of Job SPRINGER and Lydia SAYLES Springer, was born in Berlin Township, Erie County, Ohio. Oct. 14th, 1839. Enlisted Aug. 9th, 1862 in Company A.-101st regiment Ohio Volunteer infantry, and was discharged Sept. 26th, 1865, and died May 24th, 1895. Married Electa⁵ BOARDMAN, daughter of Hiram BOARDMAN and Delia __ Boardman, of East Townsend, Ohio Mch. 16th, 1867. Five children were born to them: -- Cora Gertrude SPRINGER, July 21st, 1868, Clarence Perry SPRINGER, April 27th, 1870, Ida May SPRINGER, Feb. 13th, 1875, Minnie Mabel SPRINGER, April 7th, 1877, LaVerne Floyd SPRINGER, Dec. 10th, 1884.

Cora Gertrude SPRINGER daughter of Oliver SPRINGER and Electa BOARDMAN Springer, married Edward E. HOMER; one of three brothers who own the Eaton Rapids Woolen Mills. One child Norma Gladys HOMER, was born to them.

Clarence Perry SPRINGER son of Oliver SPRINGER and Electa BOARDMAN Springer, married Minnie LaNette WASHBURN, Nov. 9th, 1892, lives at Petseville[sic?]⁶, Mich., where he owns a grocery store. Three children were born to them, Neva SPRINGER, Ruth SPRINGER and May SPRINGER.

Ida May SPRINGER, daughter of Oliver SPRINGER and Electa BOARDMAN Springer, married George PUTNAM of Goodrich, Mich., Nov. 10th, 1897. One of the firm of the Steel Rule Co., of Flint, Mich., also owns a three hundred acre farm near Flint. Two children were born to them: -- Grace Electa PUTNAM and Jennie Louise PUTNAM.

Minnie Mabel SPRINGER, daughter of Oliver SPRINGER and Electa BOARDMAN Springer, married Charles A. WASHBURN July 19th, 1900. He is a blacksmith and farmer. Two⁷ children were born to them: -- Arthur WASHBURN, John WASHBURN and Wyman Boardman WASHBURN.

LaVerne Floyd SPRINGER, son of Oliver SPRINGER and Electa BOARDMAN Springer, married Blanche MILLER Dec. 30th, 1905. He is an electrician and works in the custom house at Detroit Mich. One child was born to them, Electa Genese SPRINGER.

Sally Desire SPRINGER, daughter of Job SPRINGER and Lydia SAYLES Springer, married Ransom LAUGHLIN Aug. 8th, 1860 at her home near Berlin Heights, Ohio. They purchased a farm four miles East of Milan, Ohio, and lived there 53 years; sold their farm and moved to Milan village March, 1914. Two children were born to this union: -- Charles Wesley LAUGHLIN, born Sept, 21st, 1861; Frank Eugene LAUGHLIN born Dec. 11th, 1870.

Charles Wesley LAUGHLIN, son of Ransom LAUGHLIN and Sally SPRINGER Laughlin, married Louise Agnes WEITZMAN, Dec. 22nd, 1886, at Huron, Ohio. Two children were born to this union: -- Clifford Ransom LAUGHLIN, born May 24th, 1890; Mildred May LAUGHLIN, born Aug. 14th, 1892.

Clifford Ransom LAUGHLIN, son of Charles LAUGHLIN and Louise WEITZMAN Laughlin, married Emma COOK, April 5th, 1911. One child born to this union.

Frank Eugene LAUGHLIN married Maud WELLS, March 6th, 1901. Three children were born to this union; Dorothy Helene LAUGHLIN, born June 19th, 1904, Herbert Eugene LAUGHLIN, born Sept. 24th, 1906, Harold Ransom LAUGHLIN, born July 22nd, 1910, and died Dec. 5th, 1913.

Louisa M. SPRINGER daughter of Job SPRINGER and Lydia SAYLES Springer, married Freeman BUNKER, July 4th, 1865, and to this union three children were born: -- Wallace B. BUNKER, born Jan. 8th, 1867, L. Estella BUNKER, born Aug. 29th, 1868; Edna May BUNKER, born Nov, 27th, 1878.

Mary SAYLES, daughter of John SAYLES and Kathryn BENNETT Sayles, after her mother’s death lived with Mr. and Mrs. CHAPIN, of West Berlin, Ohio, married Wilbur F. HARDY, Feb. 22nd, 1879.

Esther Amelia SAYLES, daughter of John SAYLES and Kathryn BENNETT Sayles, after the death of her mother lived with Mr. and Mrs. TURNER, of East Milan, Ohio, married Captain Oscar B. SMITH, of Huron, Ohio, Dec. 1863. They lived at Huron, and the Captain sailed the lakes for a number of years, and then retired and went to Toledo, O. and lived there until his death.

Esther SAYLES Smith died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. G. C. COLLINGWOOD, at Toledo, Ohio. Five children were born to this union: -- Anna Belle SMITH, born. Aug. 24, 1865, Edgar R. SMITH, born Dec. 13th, 1867; died April 22nd. 1870; Edna R. SMITH born June 25th, 1870, Cora Estella SMITH born July 26th, 1872; died May lst, 1876. Austin Ira SMITH, born May 8th, 1877.

Anna Belle SMITH, daughter of Oscar B. SMITH and Esther SAYLES Smith, married Dr. L.E. Cole, October 22nd, 1889, Lives at Lemar, Iowa.

Edna R SMITH, daughter of Oscar SMITH and Esther SAYLES Smith, married G. E. COLLINGWOOD May 17th, 1893. Three children were born to this union: -- Vernon G. COLLINGWOOD, born June 22nd, 1895, Doris W. COLLINGWOOD, born July 30th, 1897, Robert S. COLLINGWOOD, born June 7th, 1906.

David Hazard SAYLES, son of Ezekiel SAYLES, Jr., and Anstrus FOSTER Sayles, born Mch. 1st, 1815, at Sempronius, Cayuga, County, N.Y. He was one of a family of nine children came to Ohio Mch. 1832. Came by canal as far as Buffalo, N.Y., took steam-boat from there to Sandusky, Ohio -- got a man with wagon and four horses to bring the family to Berlin Heights, Ohio. He married Sophia PROCTOR, Dec. 17th, 1839, and located on a farm one-half mile from Berlin Heights -- lived there until 1852, then he sold this farm and bought the Frisbie farm three miles East of Milan, Ohio, lived there until 1864, when he sold this farm and bought another, one one and one-half miles West of Milan, on the Monroeville road, which he owned until his death, which occurred July 12th, 1904, at the age of 89 years, 4 months and 11 days. He left one daughter, and four sons, fourteen grand-children, and 19 great grand- children. His wife passed away Mch. 24th, 1890. The children of this union are, Rebecca Jane SAYLES, born Dec. 1st, 1840, Charles Henry SAYLES, born Aug. 1st, 1842, died Feb. 8th, 1911, at Milan, Michigan. Victor Clark SAYLES born Sept. 10th, 1844, Frank Hazard SAYLES, born Aug. 14th, 1848, Ralph Wallace SAYLES, born June 22nd, 1852.

Rebecca J. SAYLES, daughter of David J. SAYLES and Sophia PROCTOR Sayles, married George G. SCHAEFFER, Oct. 25th, 1860, at West Berlin, Ohio. They bought the farm that her grand-father, Ezekiel Sayles owned, and lived there about five years, when they sold and bought the Abbey Farm at Laughlins Corners, and lived there until Nov. 11th, 1882, when they moved to Milan, Ohio. Three children were born to Rebecca J. and Geo. G. SCHAEFFER, Eliza J. SCHAEFFER, born Feb. 11th, 1862, Mary Elizabeth SCHAEFFER, born Dec. 7th, 1863, Georgia Sophia SCHAEFFER, born June 11th, 1872.

Eliza J. SCHAEFFER, daughter of George G. SCHAEFFER and Rebecca SAYLES Schaeffer, married Leman HUNTER, of Cleveland, Ohio, Aug. 19th, 1889. Three children were born to this union: -- George Harvey HUNTER, born Aug.8th, 1892, Waldo Schaeffer HUNTER, born June 27th, 1896, Rebecca Ruth HUNTER, born Aug. 31st, 1898.

Mary Elizabeth SCHAEFFER, daughter of George G. SCHAEFFER and Rebecca SAYLES Schaeffer, married, J. Harvey HAWES, at Milan, Ohio, Nov. 9th, 1886. He died at Toledo, Ohio, Aug. 23rd, 1891. April 26th, 1897 she married Dr. W.E. WHITE of Madison, Wis., one child was born to this union, Wallace Beecher WHITE, born Dec. 19th, 1898, at Lyons, Wis.

Georgia Sophia SCHAEFFER, daughter of George G. SCHAEFFER and Rebecca SAYLES Schaeffer, married Adolph G. HAMM, Dec. 31st, 1894, at Cleveland, Ohio. Three children were born to this union: -- Selma HAMM, born Sept. 25th, 1895, at Belle Vernon, Pa.., Ward Fenton HAMM, born Nov. 23rd, 1896, at Belle Vernon, Pa., George Schaeffer HAMM, born April. 28th, 1898, at Belle Vernon, Pa.

Charles Henry SAYLES, son of David H. SAYLES and Sophia PROCTOR Sayles, married Emily KELLY, at Portland, Mich., Nov. 12th, 1863. Lived on a farm west of Milan, Ohio for several years. March 1883, bought a farm at Azalia, Mich., where he resided until his death. Three children were born to this union: -- Ines Belle SAYLES, born Feb. 13th, 1867, Ada May SAYLES, born Dec. 3rd, 1870, died Dec. 21st, 1899, Arthur G. SAYLES, born Aug. 24th, 1880.

Ines Belle SAYLES, daughter of Charles Henry SAYLES and Emily KELLY Sayles, married William F. FRANCISCO, at Azalia, Mich., June 26th, 1887. Six children were born to this union: -- Edith M. FRANCISCO, born June 18th, 1891, William H. FRANCISCO, born Oct. 9th, 1896, Pearl L. FRANCISCO, born Aug. 8th, 1902, Truman H. FRANCISCO, born July 4th, 1904, died Feb. 6th, 1905, Leman M. FRANCISCO, born May 29th, 1907.

Edith M. FRANCISCO, daughter of William F. FRANCISCO and Ines Francisco SAYLES, married William DENNIS, April 24th, 1914.

Ada M. SAYLES, daughter of Charles Henry SAYLES and Emily KELLY Sayles married Walter WILLIAMS, Dec. 3rd, 1898.

Arthur G. SAYLES, son of Charles Henry SAYLES and Emily KELLY Sayles, married Nettie WAIDNER, March 14th, 1898. Three children were born to this union, Ralph L. SAYLES, born Oct. 12th, 1899, Cecil May SAYLES, born Oct. 24th., 1904, Ada J. SAYLES, born May 17th, 1909.

Frank Hazard SAYLES, son David H. SAYLES and Sophia PROCTOR Sayles, married Jennie R. CHERRY Feb. 9th, 1874. Four children were born to this union. Sophia SAYLES, born April 30th, 1875, Claud SAYLES, born Jan. 12th, 1878, died Dec. 4th, 1893, Gertrude SAYLES, born Oct. 17th, 1884, Louva SAYLES, born July 23rd, 1889.

Sophia SAYLES, daughter of Frank Hazard SAYLES and Jennie CHERRY Sayles, married J.B., Farrington, Jan. 20th, 1892, one son born to this union: -- Rollo, born Aug. 4th, 1893.

Gertrude SAYLES, daughter of Frank Hazard SAYLES and Jennie CHERRY Sayles, married Elmer GRANNIS, Oct. 12th, 1901.

Louva SAYLES, daughter of Frank Hazard SAYLES, and Jennie CHERRY Sayles, married Frank NOLAN, Sept. 26th, 1908. One child born to this union: -- Francis NOLAN, born Dec. 31st, 1910.

Ralph Wallace SAYLES, son of David H. SAYLES and Sophia PROCTOR Sayles, married Mary Elizabeth CHERRY, Jan. 1st, 1871. Four children were born to this union: -- Mary Eliza SAYLES, born. July 27th, 1875, died. Sept. 3rd, 1901, at Toledo, Ohio.

September 3rd, 1901, Mary Eliza SAYLES McCann died at Toledo, Ohio.

David H. SAYLES son of Ralph Wallace SAYLES and Elizabeth CHERRY Sayles, married Emma S. SCHAFER, July 12^th, 1898. Three children were born to this union: -- Ralph H. SAYLES, born July 5th, 1900, Waldo A. SAYLES, born June 13th, 1907, Amy SAYLES, born Aug. 13th, 1910.

Charles H. SAYLES, son of Ralph Wallace SAYLES and Elizabeth CHERRY Sayles, married Jennie OSBORN, April 22nd, 1905. Three children born to this union: -- Florence E. SAYLES, born Aug. 20th, 1906, Lloyd O. SAYLES, born May 1st, 1908, Gladys R. SAYLES, born May 1st, 1914.

Robert C. SAYLES, son of Ralph Wallace SAYLES and Elizabeth CHERRY Sayles, married Florence BROWN, Jan. 15th, 1913.

Mary SAYLES daughter of Ezekiel SAYLES, Jr., and Anstrus FOSTER Sayles, married William WEATHERLOW. Two children were born to this union: -- Lola Caroline WEATHERLOW, born Nov. 17th, 1837, died Dec. 10th, 1863, Francis WEATHERLOW, -- died young.

Lola Caroline WEATHERLOW, daughter of William WEATHERLOW and Mary SAYLES Weatherlow, married Joseph RATHBURN, at Berlin Heights Ohio, Nov. 1st, 1852. Joseph RATHBURN was born in Sempronius N.Y., May 31st, 1828. Five children were born to this union: -- Lucy Maria RATHBURN, born Feb. 8th 1854, Alpha Luella RATHBURN, born Apr. 26th. 1855, William Whitman RATHBURN, born Nov. 10th, 1858, Lola Elnora RATHBURN born Sept. 24th, 1860, Ellsworth Niles RATHBURN, born Jan. 1st, 1862.

Lucy Mara RATHBURN married Byron PARISH, and have three children, Maud PARISH, Lola PARISH and Elsie Alpha PARISH. Elsie Alpha PARISH married Jerry DUTTER.

William Whitman RATHBURN, married Lovina VAN FOSSEN, and have two children: -- Lester G. RATHBURN and Charles Burl RATHBURN.

Lola Elnora RATHBURN, married Columbus SMITH. They had two children: -- J. Claude SMITH and Cad SMITH.

Ellsworth RATHBURN married Uretta DAVIS. They had Rossie RATHBURN and Ethel Z RATHBURN. Rossie RATHBURN dying when about two years old.

Maud PARISH, married Will DEMOREST, and they had two children: -- Byron A. DEMOREST and Grace DEMOREST. Then she married the second time - Charles HURD.

Lola PARISH. married Nate DEAVERS--they have two children: -- Willie DEAVERS and Irene DEAVERS.

Elsie PARISH¹⁵ married John HUGGINS.

Lester G. RATHBURN married Lillie HALL. They have two children: -- Wilfred RATHBURN and Jauneta RATHBURN.

Charles Burl RATHBURN, married Effie STUDEBAKER. Ethel RATHBURN, married Paul WOLTER. They have one child, WOLTER.

Alfred B. SAYLES, son of Ezekiel SAYLES Jr., and Anstrus FOSTER Sayles, born April 25th, 1820, Sempronius, Cayuga County, N.Y. When 12 years of age moved with his parents to Berlin Heights, Ohio. Married Elizabeth Ann DILLINGBACK, May 1841. Later moved to Portland, Mich., In 1848 moved to Kent County, Mich. Later lived on a farm in Cheboygan County, Mich. Then returned to Grand Rapids, Mich., where he died Jan. 26th, 1907. He was a veteran of the Civil War.

Elizabeth Ann DILLINGBACK, born in Vermont, June 22nd, 1823, died April 28th, 1888. To them were born eight children: -- Eliza M. SAYLES, Feb. 14th, 1842, died Jan. 22nd, 1868. Alonzo W. SAYLES, Sept. 15th, 1844, died Jan. 16th, 1890, Linnius L. SAYLES, born Feb. 23rd, 1846, died Jan. 21st, 1867, Sarah E. SAYLES, born Dec. 27th, 1849, Hattie E. SAYLES, born June 10th, 1854, Rozella E. SAYLES, born April 5th, 1857, Emery A. SAYLES, born Nov. 11th, 1859, John L. SAYLES, born July 6th, 1864, died Jan. 13th, 1870.

Eliza M. SAYLES, daughter of Alfred SAYLES and Elizabeth DILLINGBACK Sayles, married Edwin F. SAYLES¹⁶.

Alonzo W. SAYLES, son of Alfred SAYLES and Elizabeth DILLINGBACK Sayles, and a veteran of Civil War, married Mary SHERMAN at Toledo, Ohio in 1870, who died in 1892. To them were born two children: -- Melvin E. SAYLES, born 1871, Alfred A. SAYLES, born Jan. 3rd, 1883.

Melvin E. SAYLES, son of Alonzo W. SAYLES and Mary SHERMAN Sayles, married Minervia TURNER, 1889. Two children, Warren SAYLES and George SAYLES. He remarried in 1909, one child -- Audrey SAYLES.

Sarah E. SAYLES, daughter of Alfred SAYLES and Elizabeth DILLINGBACK Sayles, married Charles H. SWEATLAND, 1867, who died in 1880, one son, Harry E. SWEATLAND born May 9th, 1868.

Harry E. SWEATLAND, son of Charles SWEATLAND and Sarah SAYLES Sweatland, married Ava HOWE, 1889. Three children were born to them: -- Letha SWEATLAND, born April, 1890, Highley SWEATLAND, born 1891, Archie SWEATLAND, born 1895.

Letha SWEATLAND, daughter of Harry SWEATLAND and Ava SAYLES Sweatland, married Ross BOWMAN, 1906. One child: -- Kenneth BOWMAN.

Hattie SAYLES, daughter of Alfred SAYLES and Elizabeth DILLINGBACK Sayles, married Osmas L. PEIFFER, Jan. 18st, 1880, who died June 5th, 1881. One child Oscar L. PEIFFER, born Mch. 28th, 1881. Oscar L. PEIFFER, son of Osmas PEIFFER and Hattie SAYLES Peiffer, married Lennie GILL, in 1909.

Hattie E. SAYLES Peiffer, married Charles D. RATHBUN, Mch. 8th, 1886. Two children: -- Mettie E. RATHBUN born Mch. 27th, 1888, Vernon Sayles RATHBUN, born May 9th, 1897.

Rozella E. SAYLES, daughter of Alfred SAYLES and Elizabeth DILLINGBACK Sayles, married C. Oscar PORTER, Nov. 26th, 1879. Four children were born to them: -- Ethel V PORTER, born Sept. 23rd, 1880, T. Earl PORTER, born Jan. 26th, 1883, Leone PORTER, born Oct. 28th, 1885, Clare O. PORTER, born Feb. 29th, 1888.

T. Earl PORTER, son of Oscar PORTER and Rozella SAYLES Porter married Ethel BURKE, July, 1908. Two children, June E. PORTER, who died in infancy and Burke E. PORTER, born Sept. 1912.

Clare O. PORTER, son of Oscar PORTER and Rozella SAYLES Porter, married Mabel GEORGE, Jan. 1912. One child Jean E. PORTER, born Jan. 19th, 1913.

Emery A. SAYLES, son of Alfred SAYLES and Elizabeth DILLINGBACK Sayles, married Martha J. CURTIS, in 1884.

Martha SAYLES, daughter of Ezekiel SAYLES Jr., and second wife, married William MOORE and live in Wisconsin.

Benjamin SAYLES, son of Ezekiel SAYLES, Sr., was the first white child born in Cayuga County. N.Y., married Drucilla SWIFT. Ten children were born to this union: -- William SAYLES, born April 24th 1816, died. Oct. 29th, 1884, Orrin SAYLES, Charles SAYLES, Franklin SAYLES, Henry Dey SAYLES, Angeline SAYLES, who married Wright TURTELLOTTE, Nov. 20th, 1839, died May 16th, 1913.

Almira SAYLES married Abraham HOLLAND, died in 1875, Adaline SAYLES, married Austin BROWN, Jane SAYLES, married James VAN DUYN, Caroline SAYLES, never married, died at age of 18 years.

William SAYLES son of Benjamin SAYLES and Drucilla SWIFT Sayles, married Euretta ROGERS. Eight children were born to this union: -- Lovina SAYLES, born Nov. 20th, 1839, Henry L. Henry L. SAYLES, son of William SAYLES and Euretta ROGERS Sayles, married Sarah Anna STONE, Nov. 23rd, 1862. Two children were born to them: -- Lewis P. SAYLES, born Feb. 14th, 1868, died March 1868, Gertrude A. SAYLES, born July 1st., 1869.

Gertrude A. SAYLES, daughter of Henry L. SAYLES and Sarah A. STONE Sayles, married Arthur M. TODD, Sept. 4th, 1895, at Flint Mich. One child, Marjory Anna, born July 13th, 1902.

Charles SAYLES son of William SAYLES and Euretta ROGERS Sayles, married Adaline LEWIS, Nov. 18th, 1858, and died Oct. 18th, 1899. One child Myra SAYLES born March 18th, 1865.

Myra SAYLES, daughter of Charles SAYLES and Adaline LEWIS Sayles, married Herbert CLARK, Oct. 12th, 1880. Six children were born to this union: -- Goldie CLARK, born July 7th, 1884, in West Danby, N.Y., Laura CLARK, born Aug.3rd, 1887, in North Spencer, N.Y., Lynn CLARK, born June 18th. 1890, in Danby N.Y., Newton CLARK, born July 4th, 1892, Franklin CLARK, born July 27th, 1899, Bernice CLARK, born Feb. 9th 1912.

Lovina SAYLES, daughter of William SAYLES and Euretta ROGERS Sayles, married Julius BUSH.

Julius BUSH was born March 24th, 1834, died Dec. 12th, 1904.

To this union one son was born, who died Mch. 27th, 1882. There are seven generations in this family: -- Ezekiel SAYLES Sr., Benjamin SAYLES, William SAYLES, Lovina SAYLES Bush, Mevina E. BUSH Wilcox, Dimon L. WILCOX Little, Therom Fay LITTLE.

Lovina SAYLES Bush has quite a relic of the Sayles family, her father gave it to her. It is a runlet that holds one gallon, and is marked "Ezekiel Sayles, 1707."
