is derived from the 1936 Cayuga County Rural Register as well as U.S. census
and other family history information. The foundation for the map is
the image from the 1904 Cayuga County Atlas with adjustments for known
changes to roads and houses. The state forest boundaries come from the
New York
State Department of Environmental Conservation Region 7 State Forest website
and may not be true to the original "re-forestation" project as it existed
in the 1930s.
